Agreement on the establishment of a joint working group to promote Viet Nam-Japan cooperation

On March 29, the delegation of Ministry of Information and Communications of S.R.Vietnam had a meeting with Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan. Two ministers signed a MoU on the establishment of a joint working group to promote cooperation between the two ministries.

The delegation was participated by Minister Truong Minh Tuan, Deputy Head of the Central Commission for Propaganda and Training Pham Van Linh, Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hong and leaders of departments, corporations and enterprises such as VNPT, Viettel, MobiFone, FPT, VnPost. Joining the delegation was also Deputy Ambassador to Japan Nguyen Truong Son.
 
The two ministers exchanged measures to promote cooperation on both aspects of state management and business cooperation. The two sides also affirmed special interests as well as priorities for each other in accordance with the policy of the two governments.
 
Minister Truong Minh Tuan affirmed that Vietnam was ready to cooperate with Japan in ensuring information security in the network environment and expected Japan to prioritize ODA for projects on information security in Vietnam.
 
MIC also highly appreciates and supports the cooperation of Japanese enterprises in Vietnam in the field of communication and human resource. This is an opportunity for Vietnam and Japan enterprises to introduce and cooperate on the basis of mutually beneficial cooperation.
 
Two ministers also agreed to promote cooperation in the areas of: exchange of experience in state management in the field of information and communication. Japan also agrees to support Vietnam in the fields of building e-government and smart cities.

The two ministers signed a MoU on the establishment of a joint working group to promote cooperation between the Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam and the Ministry of the Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan.
 
The two ministers also witnessed the signing of the MoU between Vietnam Post Corporation, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and Hitachi Group; the frame service contract between Vietnam Post Corporation and Hitachi Asia (Vietnam).
 
Earlier, Minister Truong Minh Tuan and the delegation also visited Vietnam Embassy in Japan.
