Vietnam - Japan Human Resource Development in Electronics in the era of digital revolution

On September, 29, in Hanoi, the MIC organized a workshop on Vietnam - Japan human resource development in electronics. Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Thanh Hung attended and delivered the opening speech.


The workshop attracted over 100 delegates, representatives of MIC’s units, leaders of Hanoi and locals’ departments, agencies; Vietnam, Japan, and IT businesses and professionals.

In his opening speech, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thanh Hung affirmed: The electronics industry had a key position in the economy and a strong impact on other industries. It is also selected as one of six strategic sectors in the cooperation framework of Vietnam - Japan.
Vietnam's electronics industry mainly relies on a number of advantages in human resources. However, in the coming period, the digital revolution, known as the 4th industrial revolution, is taking place all over the world with the production of electronic products based on automation or robots. This requires the labor force of the electronics industry need a consistent shift to develop.

To capture the opportunities of the digital revolution in general and the development trend of electronics industry in particular, the MIC’s  priority is to focus on the development of human resources. The Ministry will develop mechanisms and policies to promote the development of qualified human resources. The workshop will be an opportunity to improve links between businesses, institutes and government authorities.
At the workshop, participants listened to the presentation on the content of human development cooperation within the framework of Decision 1290/QD-TTg; the cooperation between training institutions and enterprises; and some results of training cooperation between Vietnam - Japan in recent years.
