Postal and telecom service income reaches 13. 2 trillion dong in April
According to the statistics from the General Office of Statistics, four months’ number of new telephone subscribers was at an estimation of 3.5 million, rose 20% from last year’ same period, including 10.2 thousand fixed telephone subscribers and the mobile ones represented the remainder.
Accordingly, the number of telephone subscribers over the country by the end of April 2012 has reached 134.4 million, up by 2.5 percentage, including 15.3 million fixed telephone subscribers, down 1.7 percentage and 119.1 million mobile phone subscribers, up 3.1%.
The number of broadband internet subscribers as of end of 4/2012 was estimated to reach 4.4 million, rose 20.4% against the figure in the same time last year. The number of internet users has reached 32.2 million, rose 13.9% from the same period in 2011.
Four beginning months’ total postal and telecom service net income was estimated at 45.8 trillion dong, rose 13.7% from last year’ same period. Postal and telecom service income has reached 13.2 trillion dong in April alone, continued increase in this sector’s revenue from the beginning of 2012 up to now.
