According to VCCorp General Director Nguyen The Tan, the "Lotus" project has been developed by over 200 technical engineers of the firm, who are working in various fields of mobile application, artificial intelligence (AI), and Big Data.

The project was established, invested and implemented by VCCorp, with the participation of some other domestic companies and individuals.

VCCorp has mobilised VND700 billion for this project and it planned to raise another VND500 billion to develop this social network.

Designed by a group of user-experience experts, Lotus is a social network that goes in a different direction with the content as its focus, thus creating an effective platform to support content creators and individuals to create better contents for users, Tan said.
It will be made public in two forms on the website at http://lotus.vn, and mobile app.

Earlier, on July 23, a made-in-vietnam social network called Gapo was launched by G-Capital, with committed capital of VND500 billion. This network aims to have 50 million users by 2021.
