The Ministry of Information and Communications and Japan's Ministry of Home Affairs and Communications sign a MoU

The Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam and the Ministry of Home Affairs and Communications of Japan agree on the signing of a new MoU after the current MoU expires in September 2019 with new contents strengthening the cooperation between the two ministries in the field of information and communications.

On March 21, 2019, in Hanoi, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Pham Hong Hai received Mr. Akihiko Miyamoto, Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Global Strategy Agency, Ministry of Home Affairs and Communication of Japan.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister Pham Hong Hai expressed his thank to Japan for supporting Vietnam to organize the ASEAN Conference on 5G.
 
In recent years, the cooperation between the Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam and the Ministry of Home Affairs and Communication of Japan in the field of information and communication has been promoted, especially in areas such as: smart city, information security, frequency, 5G.
 
Deputy Minister hoped that Japan would continue to support Vietnam to strengthen information security, smart city, etc.
 
Director Akihiko Miyamoto highly appreciated the Ministry of Information and Communications in organizing the ASEAN Conference on 5G, as well as the close cooperation between the two ministries, especially in activities of the Joint Working Group.
