The representative of Vietnam be re-elected as member of ITU Radio Regulatory Commission

On November 5, in Dubai, the PP-18 Conference held an election of members of the ITU Radio Regulatory Commission for the 2019-2022 term. Mr. Doan Quang Hoan, from Vietnam's MIC, was re-elected to this committee with a high vote of 167/177.

It is also the second time Vietnam has elected representatives to the RRB, the key ITU body responsible for providing guidance for the implementation of the Radio Regulations and dealings with disputes related to spectrum, satellite orbit.

In accordance with the provisions of the ITU Charter, the Radio Regulations Committee consists of 12 members elected from nominees of 5 regions, according to the principle of geographic distribution.
 
In the term of 2015-2018, the representative of Viet Nam has contributed in improving the operational efficiency and quality of RRB decisions. These contributions are recognized and appreciated by the international community. The re-election to the RRB continued to demonstrate the active participation in the ITU and to realize the goal of deepening participation in international organizations of Vietnam.
