Minister Truong Minh Tuan meets APICTA

On May 14, at the headquarters of MIC, Minister Truong Minh Tuan had a meeting with the delegation of the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) led by Mr. Stan Singh, President.

At the meeting, Minister Truong Minh Tuan highly appreciated the vision, mission and objectives set by APICTA in order to promote IT cooperation, enhance technology innovation, capacity building and encourage the development of IT solutions in the Asia-Pacific region.
 
As the state administration in the field of information technology, the Ministry of Information and Communications supports VINASA participation in APICTA and encourages Vietnam ICT associations and businesses to participate in APICTA activities to exchange experiences, promote IT solutions.
 
Minister Truong Minh Tuan also briefed on Vietnam's ICT development as well as legal policies. Vietnam particularly gives priorities to investment in software products, IT products, software services and digital contents.
 
APICTA President, Mr. Stan Singh said that he visited Hoa Lac High -Tech Park and FPT Software Company, witnessed the Vietnamese Government's interest in IT. The APICTA Awards 2019 is an opportunity for Vietnam’s IT companies to introduce to 16 APICTA member countries its IT services and products.
 
Regarding the APICTA Awards 2019, the Minister asked APICTA to study and supplement the award groups for products and solutions related to e-government, smart cities, smart agriculture, etc.
 
APICTA members having high rankings in the UN e-Government rankings, such as Australia and Singapore, increase exchanges and share experience in building and deploying e-government with other countries, asked the Minister.
