Minister Truong Minh Tuan meets the delegation of Thailand Journalists Association

On October 19, in Hanoi, Minister Truong Minh Tuan received the delegation of Thailand Journalists Association headed by Mr. Anucha Charoenpo, Vice President in charge of International Affairs.

The ministries and sectors of Vietnam and Thailand have continuously strengthened cooperative measures to deepen the relationship between the two countries in all fields, including the information and communication sector. Thus, the regular exchange of delegations at all levels between the two sides has shown the importance and affirmed determination to continuously strengthen and expand the friendship and cooperation between the Governments and peoples of two the countries.
 
Being a Member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Minister Truong Minh Tuan appreciated the fact that the Thailand Journalists Association and the Vietnam Journalists Association signed a memorandum of cooperation in 2014.
  
The Minister shared information about the development of the press and publishing sector in Vietnam in the last 10 years. Minister Truong Minh Tuan appreciated the important role of the Thai Journalists Association in developing the cooperation between the two countries. The Minister also said that Vietnam and Thailand had been cooperating in the fields of journalism, publishing, broadcasting and foreign affairs. Vietnam Television and Voice of Vietnam have signed cooperation agreements with Thai partners to exploit each other's strengths, exchange information and coordinate production of broadcasting programs.
 
Minister Truong Minh Tuan suggested that the Vietnam Journalists Association and the Thai Journalists Association should maintain regular exchange activities in order to share information and enhance mutual understanding of economic and cultural development. He asked the delegation to pay close attention to and support the cooperation in the field of  information and communication such as post and telecommunications, radio frequency, information security, press, human resource, etc.
 
Mr. Anucha Charoenpo thanked the Minister for taking the time to welcome and work with the delegation. He agreed with Minister Truong Minh Tuan's proposal and affirmed Thailand was ready to create conditions to support and cooperate with Vietnam, contributing to promote the solidarity between two peoples.
