Minister Truong Minh Tuan met with the leaders of Peace, Solidarity organizations of India

Minister Truong Minh Tuan talked with leaders of the India’s Peace, Friendship and Solidarity organizations on March 28.

At the meeting with Mr. Geetesh Sharma, Chairman of the India-Vietnam Solidarity Commission of West Bengal (IVSC) and members, Minister Truong Minh Tuan affirmed that Vietnam and India had a good relationship established by the great leaders of the two nations: President Ho Chi Minh and Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.
 
On January 7, 1972, the two countries officially established full diplomatic relations. This is a milestone in the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and India. In July 2007, Viet Nam and India formally established a strategic partnership creating new motivations for the comprehensive India-Vietnam relationship.
 
The Minister expressed his belief with the new framework, rich experiences as well as joint efforts of the two countries' leaders and peoples, the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership of Vietnam - India would strongly develop, meeting the practical interests of the two peoples for peace, stability, cooperation and prosperity in the region and in the world.
 
At the meeting with the President of India Peace and Solidarity Organization, Minister Truong Minh Tuan shared: "As the President of the Vietnam-India Friendship Association, I wish and hope that the two associations will continue to bring into full play the results achieved over the years and at the same time to further diversify activities and measures to strengthen and promote the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and India, successfully hold the 9th Vietnam-India Friendship Congress in India to celebrate the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations and 10 years of strategic partnership of the two countries".
