FPT earns $100 million in revenue in Japan market
FPT Japan is Viet Nam's first company to earn US$100 million from the Japanese market in the first 10 months of this year, according to an announcement made yesterday by FPT corporation.
The corporation said FTP Japan has approached earnings made by the top 50 IT companies in Japan, including Fujitsoft, DTS and Systena.
Over the past 10 years, sales of FPT Japan grew at 32 per cent per year. The revenue growth rate of FPT Japan was 2.5 times higher than the average growth rate of export turnovers between Viet Nam and Japan, at 13.9 per cent per year, from 2006 to 2015.
FPT corporation has always considered Japan to be its most important market. It has set a target of being among the top 50 IT companies in Japan in 2017. Further, FPT Japan is expected to contribute 50 per cent of its total revenue target of US$1 billion from the overseas market in 2020.
Meanwhile, Hoang Nam Tien, Chairman of FPT Software, said that Japan's third industrial revolution in the 1960s created a powerful Japan, and the fourth industrial revolution has become known for the digital transformation that helped Japan again accelerate its growth.
Vietnam's software industry now has the opportunity to work with Japan to change its own position in the industrial revolution. This is due to a young workforce with knowledge of the internet of things (IoT), including social, mobile, analytics and cloud (S.M.A.C), and who are ready to participate in the digital revolution.
Specifically, in developed countries like Japan, the US and Europe, FPT has provided services based upon new technology trends for leading corporations in aircraft manufacturing, automobiles, satellites, telecommunications and banking.
After 17 years of implementing its strategy of globalization, FPT is represented in 19 countries with nearly 27,000 employees and staff. In the first nine months of 2016, its global revenues reached $187 million.
