Deputy Minister Pham Hong Hai receives Singtel Vice President
On August, 19 th , 2016, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Pham Hong Hai hosted a reception for Mr. Oliver Foo, Vice President – Business Development & COE Programme Office, Singtel International Group.
At the meeting, Mr. Oliver Foo reported recent business activities of SingTel in Asia in general and Vietnam in particular. At the meeting, Mr. Oliver Foo also presented some information relating to the performance of international business cooperation and expressed the desire to participate in the process of equitization of MobiFone.
Deputy Minister Pham Hong Hai said, Mobifone is one of three major telecom operators in Vietnam. This is also the first telecommunication enterprise being equitized in Vietnam, so MIC always supports the participation of foreign enterprises in Vietnam market, especially investment in MobiFone.
"If Singtel wants to invest in MobiFone, it is neccessary for Singtel to work with MobiFone to grasp its equitization situation. Then, MobiFone will report to the MIC on working results", Deputy Minister Pham Hong Hai added.
