Press agencies promote information about digital television transition

MIC has issued documents requiring press agencies (printing and electronic newspapers) promote information about the digital television transition before, during and after the switching-off time of analog channels in Hanoi, Hai Phong, Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho.

Implementing the guidance of Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Phan Tam about the propaganda on digital television transition, in order to successfully deploy the switching off of analogue TV channels in Hanoi, Hai Phong, Can Tho, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong (excluding analog channels of Binh Duong Broadcasting and Television) on August, 15th, 2016, Authority of Broacasting and Electronic Information proposed Authority of Press directing press agencies in dissemination on the digital television transition, as follows:

Updating the information on TV coverage, results in the provision of supporting equipment for poor households, guidances in selection of equipment, etc on the specialized site on digital television transition as www.sohoatruyenhinh.vn and www.mic.gov.vn/shth to publish  articles widely to people about decisions of the Steering Committee on Digital television transition about the time to stop broadcasting analog channels and switch to digital TV broadcastion in 4 central cities: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong and Can Tho on August, 15th, 2016.
