2016 Vietnamese Talent Awards honour products of high applicability
The 2016 Vietnamese Talent Awards will seek and honour smart information technology products of creativity and high applicability, the organising board said at a press brief in Hanoi on May 10.
The 12th annual contest is held under the theme “For the quality of life”, aiming to accelerate the use of technology in real life, which is being targeted by Vietnamese enterprises.
This year’s awards will be open for entries in the fields of information technology (IT), science and technology, medicine, and the environment.
There are three IT product categories - successfully applied, great potential for application and applied products on mobile devices - with each category featuring one VND100 million first prize, one VND50 million second prize and one VND30 million third prize.
In the fields of science and medicine, one VND100 million first prize will be presented to the individual or collective whose research works are successfully used in real life.
The environment category offers one VND100 million first prize, one VND50 million second prize and one VND30 million third prize to collectives or organisations who have made significant contributions to protecting the environment and successfully building green residential areas.
Unlike previous years, on the sideline of the 2016 Vietnamese Talent Awards, exchange programmes and workshops with students in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City will be held under the theme “Talk with Startups”, promising to provide IT lovers with a platform to receive useful advice from IT experts and successful startups.
The awards ceremony will be held in Hanoi on November 20 and aired live on the Vietnam Television channel.
