Exhibition of photos, documentary films on ASEAN Community in Quang Ninh
An exhibition of photos, reportage and documentary films on the ASEAN Community was held from May 14-17 in Ha Long, northern Quang Ninh province by the Ministry of Information and Communications. Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan attented the event.
The works reflect a variety of topics such as: the beauty of the country and people of ASEAN countries, cultural traditions of ASEAN countries, environmental protection, peoples in the community of ASEAN countries with good quality, informative content and various styles. In particular, appearing in the most visible place in the exhibition are the official stamp and postmark of the ASEAN countries.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan said that the exhibition is a call for Vietnamese people to join hands to build the ASEAN Community, a community for the purpose of peace, stability, development and towards the people, to raise awareness of the peoples on the development of the ASEAN Community. This is the result of 49 years of collaborative efforts of all ASEAN members, recording a milestone in ASEAN integration process, in which Vietnam is considered an important member in ensuring the unity of ASEAN, Minister Truong Minh Tuan asserted.
Through the exhibition, we will understand more about the culture, people, environment of the countries in the ASEAN region, thereby, enabling the peoples increasingly closer together for an ASEAN unity in diversity and enhancing deeper mutual understanding among ASEAN.
All the works on display will be presented to the People’s Committee of Quang Ninh Province for dissemination purposes on ASEAN Community when the exhibit closes.
