Vietnam joins International Rehearsal on investigation, analysis and rescue of large-scale malware incidents
On October, 28th, 2015, in Hanoi, Vietnam joined International Rehearsal on investigation, analysis and rescue of large-scale malware incidents (ACID 2015) with 10 ASEAN countries and: Australia, Japan, China and India. Vietnam Computer Emergency Response Team (VNCERT) under the Ministry of Information and Communications, is the national and international coordination agency in this event. Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Thanh Hung attended.
In Vietnam, the Rehearsal was deployed in 3 locations: Hanoi, Danang and Ho Chi Minh City; and lasted from 8:30 to 15:30, with the participation of nearly 100 agencies, organizations, units and 250 technicians. This year is the first year Vietnam extends its scale in participation. The scenario was issued by Organization Board from Singapore and the official scenaries were not notified prior to the involved parties to ensure the confidentiality and in accordance with the actual happenings. The rehearsal aimed at 3 common goals: Improving the capacity of the national incident rescue system; Improving Vietnam"s status in information secure and enhancing international cooperation in the rescue coordination and network incident rescure; Raising awareness of the community in the field of network security.
