Viet Nam- Malaysia ICT business forum opens in Ha Noi

Viet Nam- Malaysia ICT business forum was co- organized by the Vietnam Ministry of Information and Communication, the Malaysia Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) and Embassy of Malaysia on July 18 in Hanoi.

Attending the forum were Minister of Information and Communications Le Doan Hop, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Datuk Seri Dr. Maximus Johniti Ongkilil as well as 100 representatives from 35 leading Vietnamese and Malaysian ICT enterprises.

The ICT policies and strategies of both Viet Nam and Malaysia were presented at the forum. This is a chance for experience exchange and investment opportunities among the two nations’ enterprises.

Malaysian enterprises highly appreciated Viet Nam’s achievements and expressed their concerns about cooperation respectives with Vietnamese partners through participation of implementing Viet Nam’s great projects on ICT.

A total of 08 memorandum of understanding (MOU) were signed in fields, namely service supply, technology transfer, e- commerce, e- government, e- bank, support for business cooperation etc. The exchange of MOU documents were witnessed by the two ministers.

Addressing at the forum, Minister Hop said Viet Nam always highly appreciates Malaysia in its ICT development.  He also expressed his hope that there would be more ICT partnerships, integration and development between two nations.
