The Authority of Information Security under Vietnam’s Ministry of Information and Communications on June 16 warned about serious security holes in Microsoft products announced in June.
On June 14, Microsoft released the June security updates with 55 vulnerabilities in products. Among them, the authority warned ministries, agencies, localities, and businesses about nine serious security holes.
The National Cyber Security Center in its Document No.786/CATTTNCSC also made similar warnings about the MSDT on June 1.
Vietnam is one of Microsoft’s target markets. At the meeting with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in the US in May, vice president of Sales, Marketing and Operations at Microsoft Asia Pacific Sandy Gupta said that the century is Asia's century. Vietnam would be a big contributor, and Microsoft is investing seriously in major programmes on cloud technology, AI, open-source applications, and cybersecurity.
Currently, the group is coordinating with Vietnam’s Ministry of Information and Communications to implement these programmes, including technologies to help boost transparency and assist anti-corruption efforts.
