Deputy Minister Phan Tam meets ICDL General Director

On January 9, 2020, in Hanoi, Deputy Minister Phan Tam had a meeting with Mr. Damien O’s Sullivan, General Director of the International Computer Driving License Foundation (ICDL).

 At the meeting, the two sides discussed the future cooperation opportunities between the Ministry of Information and Communications and the ICDL Fund in the field of Information and Communications, specifically in the field of strengthening ICT skills of the workforce to meet international standards.

At the same time, the representative of ICDL also introduced to the Deputy Minister about the program "Digital Literacy Day 2020" scheduled to be held in Vietnam in 2020 with the participation of many Asian countries, lecturers and leaders of many global corporations such as ACCA, Shining 3D, Enterprise Ireland, NOK Air. Mr. Damien O’s Sullivan expressed his desire to receive the support of the Ministry of Information and Communications for this event.
 
Deputy Minister Phan Tam said that the Ministry of Information and Communications will support and create favorable conditions for the event "Digital Literacy Day 2020" to take place successfully through content support and sending speakers to the event.
 
 ICDL Foundation is an international organization working with the mission of improving computer skills for workers, students, students and the whole society. The Foundation operates under the auspices of the European IT Union (CEPIS) and the European Commission (EC).
