 At the meeting, Deputy Minister Phan Tam expressed his pleasure to welcome the delegation of EU-ASEAN Business Council to visit and work with the Ministry of Information and Communications. The Deputy Minister gave an overview of visions, plans and policies in Vietnam's ICT. At present, Vietnam is promoting the development of e-government, initiating the process of national digital transformation and developing Vietnamese technology enterprises.

He expected that there would be more opportunities for cooperation between the Vietnamese ICT businesses and EU partners in the future.
 
Representatives of EU companies expressed their commitments to support Vietnam within their strengths such as protecting privacy, e-government, electronic identities and authentication, etc.
