The company said it pays engineers a starting salary of 1,000 USD, 15 percent higher than the industry average.
Nguyen Thanh Nam, the company’s deputy general director, said Viettel has been a pioneer in applying new technologies in the world and that was the reason for its constant requirement for more human resources in new areas.

Viettel is one of the best places to work in Vietnam IT sector, according to the latest study by jobs company Anphabe and market research company Intage. It seeks to become a leader of the digital transformation process in Vietnam, and has poured a lot of money into products, services, and solutions required for e-government and smart cities.
