Facebook pledged to work closely with the Government of Vietnam

At the meeting with the Acting Minister of MIC, Facebook is committed to working closely with the Government of Vietnam to solve remaining issues and form a joint working group between Facebook and the Vietnamese authority.

On September 14th, at the headquarters of MIC, the Acting Minister Nguyen Manh Hung had a meeting with Mr. Simon Milner, Vice President of Public Policy in Asia-Pacific of Facebook.
 
At the meeting, Acting Minister Nguyen Manh Hung and Vice President Simon Milner discussed issues about the development of Facebook in Vietnam. One of the key issues is how to find a way for Facebook's prosperity in the Vietnamese market to go along with the common prosperity of Vietnam.
 
Acting Minister Nguyen Manh Hung proposed forming a joint working group to address the remaining issues between Facebook and Vietnam. This will be the most practical exchange channel for the two sides to work together, for the development of each side.
 
Mr. Simon Milner committed to working closely with the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Government of Vietnam to solve all remaining problems by forming a joint working group.
 
Acting Minister Nguyen Manh Hung said Vietnam now had a good human resource in technology, if Facebook reinvested a portion of profits from Vietnam in the R&D, that would be good for Facebook in this market, while also supporting the Government of Vietnam in the development of high-tech human resources.
