At the reception, Minister Truong Minh Tuan congratulated the launch of France 24 (English version) broadcasted on the Vietnam Broadcasting System.
The Minister expressed his hope that France 24 would provide useful information on the economic, political and social situation in the world to Vietnamese audiences in particular and the two countries in general. It is a bridge linking and enhancing the relationship between Vietnam and France.
At the meeting, the Minister also shared about the development of broadcasting in Vietnam with great potentials. The goal is to 2020 to digitize television across the country. Currently, the Prime Minister directs to promote the construction of digital television in the local area.
Mrs. Marie Christine Saragosse expressed her gratitude for the enthusiastic support of the Ministry of Information and Communications for the licensing of France 24 in Vietnam.
She said that France would focus on the cultural depths of the two countries on France 24, while also ready to create conditions to support and cooperate with Vietnam, contributing to the relation between the two peoples.
