Issue the special stamp set "Viet Nam – India jointly issued stamps"

On the occasion of the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties, 10 years of strategic partnership and 01 year of comprehensive strategic partnership between Viet Nam and India, in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications of India, the stampset "Viet Nam – India jointly issued stamps" was issued on January 25, in Hanoi and New Delhi. Minister of Information and Communication Truong Minh Tuan attended the event.

The stampset consists of two models worth 3,000 VND (500 rupees) and 10,500 VND (2,500 rupees) with the theme "ancient architectures", introducing Pho Minh Temple (Vietnam) and Sanchi Tower (India). The stamps have a style of realism detailing 2 typical Buddhist architectures designed by painters: Nguyen Du, Do Lenh Tuan (Viet Nam) and Brahm Prakash (India). The stamp set has a size of 43 x 32mm and 32 x 43mm.
 
According to the plan, India Post will print 500,000 national postage stamps, 500,000 international postage stamps and 100,000 miniature panels. Vietnam Post will print 500,000 national postage stamps and 50,000 international stamps.
 
Before releasing this stamp set, Vietnam Post issued a stampset of 4 pieces on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Indian Prime Minister J.Neru (1889 - 1964) in January 1989.
