Visitors can find precious books across a range of subjects including history, literature, novels, culture, politics and children’s stories.
They can also find books and documents published before 1945, which were collected by private libraries, and discuss the Vietnamese famine of 1945 and land reform in North Việt Nam in 1950s. Moreover, some precious documents dating back to the Nguyễn Dynasty (1802- 1945) will be also sold at the fair.
On October 29, some old books will be auctioned. Proceeds will be donated to people in northwestern provinces who suffered from recent floods.
In April, a large-scale book fair was organised at this site, with more than 20 tonnes of old and new books.
