Minister Truong Minh Tuan talks with Minister for National Development of Hungary

On September, 25, at the headquarters of MIC, Minister Truong Minh Tuan chaired the bilateral meeting with Minister of National Development of Hungary Miklós Seszták.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister Truong Minh Tuan warmly welcomed Mr. Miklós Seszták visit and work in Vietnam, on the occasion of the official visit of Prime Minister of Hungary Orban Viktor.
 
This visit of the Prime Minister of Hungary is very important, affirming that Vietnam and Hungary always attach importance to the traditional friendship and multi-faceted cooperation between the two countries. The Government of Viet Nam always effort to accelerate the implementation of the cooperation agreements signed between the two countries in order to make the Vietnam-Hungary bilateral cooperation more and more reality and effective. ICT is one of the important contents on the agenda of the Hungarian Prime Minister’s visit in Vietnam. This reflects the importance and affirms the determination of the two Governments in consolidating and expanding cooperation in the field of information and communication.
 
At the meeting, Minister Miklós Seszták gave an overview of the development of Hungary’s ICT. According to the Memorandum of Understanding between the two ministries, Hungary is ready to cooperate and share experiences in implementing smart cities and child protection’s digital system, export strategies, intelligent education, digital applications, etc for Vietnam in the coming time.
 
At the meeting, Minister Truong Minh Tuan informed Mr. Miklós Seszták and his delegation about the development of Vietnam's ICT industry over the past time.
 
For the cooperation between the two countries in the field of information technology, Vietnam always prioritizes the development of cooperation with Hungary, a traditional partner. 
 
The cooperation agreements signed between the two ministries, agencies and businesses of the two countries have actively implemented some cooperative activities such as sharing experience, participating in a number of projects on the development of databases for health services, social insurance, e-commerce, and citizen information.
 
However, Minister Truong Minh Tuan also frankly stated that the results achieved in recent years was modest compared with the potential of the two countries. Therefore, the two ministries need to be more active to develop this cooperation.
 
On this occasion, Minister Truong Minh Tuan hoped that the Ministry of National Development would share experience in developing ICT policy in line with the development of the Industrial Revolution 4.0.; programs and projects on the application of ICT in state administrative management such as e-government, electronic authentication; Safety information; Cooperation in ICT industry development; Broadband and infrastructure development, 5G technology; Research and Development Cooperation: National Database, IoT, Cloud Computing, 3D Printing, Artificial Intelligence, Smart City; human resources, etc.
