Viettel supports start-up projects on internet of things

Viettel Telecom Corporation officially launched the ‘Vietnam Internet of Things (IoT) Hackathon 2017’ – a national IoT competition, at a press conference held in Hanoi on July 24.

Through the event, Viettel aims to support prospective start-up businesses and Vietnamese talents in the field of information and technology, particularly the internet of things.
 
Participants can submit their projects, which can be related to various issues: smart factory, smart agriculture, smart energy, smart retail, smart devices, automation, smart city, security, health, and smart production.
 
Breakthroughs in technology, creation, business models and practical applications are the top criteria for winning projects.
 
The entrants can enter the website at http://vietnamiothackathon.com to register from now until September 10.
 
‘Vietnam IoT Hackathon’ will consist of qualifying, a training – consultant round, counter arguments and final rounds.
 
After two first rounds, 15 teams will be selected to enter the counter argument round with the four with most outstanding projects competing at the finals in Ho Chi Minh City on September 29-30.
 
The total prize will be worth almost VND600 million will be presented to the four winners. In addition Viettell will support the winning individuals and teams in building their products within a year.
