In Vietnam, the Rehearsal was deployed in 3 locations: Hanoi, Danang and Ho Chi Minh City; and lasted from 8:30 to 15:30, with the participation of nearly 100 agencies, organizations, units and 250 technicians. This year is the first year Vietnam extends its scale in participation. The scenario was issued by Organization Board from Singapore and the official scenaries were not notified prior to the involved parties to ensure the confidentiality and in accordance with the actual happenings. The rehearsal aimed at 3 common goals: Improving the capacity of the national incident rescue system; Improving Vietnam"s status in information secure and enhancing international cooperation in the rescue coordination and network incident rescure; Raising awareness of the community in the field of network security.
At the opening speech, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thanh Hung required all participating units developing the ability with positive attitude, compling with all international regulations in this joint activity. Deputy Minister Nguyen Thanh Hung emphasized the importance of cooperation and information sharing among ministries, sectors and localities were the most effective measures in the fight against network incidents. Deputy Minister said, MIC also asked ministries, sectors and locals to establish their own CERT to coordinate with VNCERT to strengthen the awareness and activities related to information safety.
According to VNCERT, in ACID 2015, via the feedback of participating teams from 14 countries on IRC (Internet Relay Chat), Vietnam has led in 4/6 scenarios and was the fastest in sending responses.
