
SEACOOP is an initiative of European Commission and the ASEAN Secretariat aiming at strengthening science and technology cooperation in ICT research between Europe and Southeast Asia. SEACOOP is coordinated by Sigma Orionis, an organization based in France and devoted to supporting collaborative research.
“EU and ASEAN countries play a key role of global economy, therefore a joint effort on strengthening cooperation in ICT research will help the region gain sustainable development, prosperity and growth”, Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hong said.
A Forum on e- Inclusion was also organized in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on April 7, 2011 and other Forum on ICT for Development will be held in Myanmar in October 2011.
