Vietnam Digital Communications Association founded

The Vietnam Digital Communications Association (VDT) was officially set up in Hanoi on 2 March, 2011.

Minister of Information and Communications, Le Doan Hop, was elected as Chairman of VDT Association

VDT Association was founded by voluntary individuals and organizations in the digital telecommunications field to promote research and application of electronic data for the country’s industrialization and modernization.

Individuals and organizations in the digital telecommunications field in Vietnam that have no objections to VDTA’s Regulation and voluntarily apply for taking part in Association will be considered to become members of VDTA. Regulation of Association took effect from 2nd  March, 2011.

The Executive Committee and leader positions of VDT Association in the period 2011- 2015 were elected. The Executive Committee includes 25 members. Minister of Information and Communications, Le Doan Hop, was elected as Chairman of the association and Nguyen Anh Tuan, editor-in-chief of the online newspaper Vietnamnet was elected as Deputy Chairman.
