NA passes posts law

With the majority of ayes, the Nation Assembly (NA) passed the Posts Law in the session on 17, June 2010.

On behalf of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Mr. Dang Vu Minh Chairman of Committee on Science, Technology and Environment of the National Assembly represented report on comments and clarification and adjustment of draft Posts Law on contents discussed by Deputies on 26 May 2010, mainly on follow-up contents: operating principles of posts, state policies on posts,  postal matter priotity accepted, transported and delivered cases in the emergency, posts service providing contact, procedures for import and export postal matter, posts licence, quality and fees of postal services, rights and responsibilities of postal operators and of postal users, public posts activities, complaints and disputes on postal activities, infrastructure for commune post offices, State management responsibilities on postal activities. Draft Law has been slightly adjusted for textual technique in order to make the Law clearer.

The Posts Law, with 46 articles, gained 85,8 of votes. This Law will come into force on 1 January 2010.
