Vietnam - Japan strengthen cooperation on ICT

On March 6, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Information and Communications, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung received and worked with Mr. Tabuchi Masao, Chairman of SCSK Company (Sumitomo Corporation).

At the meeting, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung informed that the Government as well as the Ministry of Information and Communications were very interested in the investment and development of foreign enterprises, including Japanese enterprises in Vietnam. He highly appreciated the cooperation between SCSK and FPT (Vietnam) to provide IT services and digital conversion services.

On this occasion, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung answered Japanese enterprises' questions about cooperation and investment as well as network security in Vietnam.
 
Currently, the Government and the Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam are building a strategy to bring Vietnam become a powerful country in network security. In 2019, the Government will officially announce the first national transformation strategy and the strategy of developing Vietnamese technology enterprises with the brand "Make in Vietnam". This is a long process, creating a large market for IT businesses. Therefore, the Ministry of Information and Communications wishes to receive the support and cooperation of Japanese enterprises. Ministry of Information and Communications will create the best conditions for Japanese enterprises to invest and develop in Vietnam in the coming time.

At the meeting, Mr. Tabuchi Masao, President of SCSK expressed his pleasure to be informed about opportunities for cooperation and investment in Vietnam.
 
Mr. Tabuchi Masao affirmed that he would continue to coordinate effectively with FPT Corporation, as well as to receive supports of the Ministry of Information and Communications, contributing to deepening the relationship and common interests of the both two countries.
