Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hong said that the relationship between Vietnam and Korea over the past 25 years since the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relation has achieved great achievements in all areas. Korea has become one of the important strategic partners of Vietnam and Vietnam has become Korea's leading strategic partners in Southeast Asia. In particular, ICT cooperation is contributing to deepening this relationship as well as positively contributing to the development of each country.
On the basis of good relationship, the cooperation in the field of ICT has been promoted by both governments and enterprises. The two sides also closely cooperated in training of human resources, exchange of experts, policy formulation, development and application of new technologies.
At the Forum, participants from both state management agencies and enterprises had practical discussions to further opportunities and specific cooperation activities, strengthening of the friendship and cooperation between the two countries, said Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hong.
The Minister of Science, Technology and Communications of Korea, Mr. You Young Min confirmed that the Vietnam-Korea ICT Forum received the attention of the Government and enterprises of the two countries to meet the challenges of the revolution. He believed that the cooperation between the two countries and businesses was the foundation for dealing with the changes of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
Within the framework of the Vietnam-Korea ICT Cooperation Program in 2018, ICT companies of the two countries have signed cooperation agreements: Agreement in Providing advertising solutions based on user's position between Mobifone and Tripath Company; Agreement in wireline and wireless consolidation services between Supernet and Newtaco; Agreement in digital conversion solutions between JC1 and FSI and Agreement in enhancing cooperation between MobiFone Global and Samsung Electronics Co.Ltd on technical and commercial activities related to 4G, 5G in Vietnam.
