At the meeting, Minister Truong Minh Tuan said that this visit had an important meaning, especially when the two countries celebrated 50 years of diplomatic relations (1967-2017).
The two ministers informed each other on the development of information and communication in Vietnam and Cambodia.
About the cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia in the field of information and communication, Minister Truong Minh Tuan said that the cooperation had contributed to the overall success, strengthened the good neighbors, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation and long-term sustainability of the two countries.
Minister Truong Minh Tuan expressed his thanks for the close cooperation with the Ministry of Information of Cambodia, especially its supports to Vietnamese media agencies and enterprises operating in Cambodia.
The two ministries should continue to direct functional units to effectively implement the 2016-2020 cooperation plan signed by the two Ministers and promote the exchange of information between the two countries, Minister Truong Minh Tuan stressed.
