Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hong receives the delegation of University of Technology Sydney

On November, 17, in Hanoi, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Minh Hong received the delegation of the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) headed by Mr. Lan Burnbett, Headmaster of Technology and Engineering Faculty, University of Technology Sydney.

 At the meeting, the two sides discussed the opportunities of cooperation in the fields of 5G, IoT, data analysis, robots and quantum computing.

UTS was founded in 1998 and known for its success and commitment in training and research with companies like: Intel, IBM, HP, Google and other technology providers in Australia and other locals.
 
Reportedly, the University has cooperated with Vietnam in establishing a research center with the National University of Hanoi, opening a high-tech laboratory for Hoa Lac high-tech Park, coordinating with the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) in Ha Tinh Formosa incident and IoT training for VNPT’s senior officials.
 
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hong welcomed the University of Technology Sydney for its proposed cooperation with Vietnam. Deputy Minister said, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology was selected as one of eight key universities in training information safety. He hoped University of Technology Sydney could assist Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology in this training field.
