Accordingly, philatelists and users can download the free Asean Stamp software for smartphones (Android, iOS) to see 3 minute clip on the stamp introduction and related information.
The stamp collection is a block of 4 stamps, in which 2 stamps are on Vietnam’s water puppet and 2 on Thailand's puppet, so with the recognition technology, we can view clips (English subtitles) introducing Vietnam and Thailand’s puppets.
The recognition technology helps the community and especially philatelists find out information and images of the stamps through the clips as well as promotes the two countries' tourism.
This app will present in over 2 million of this collection’s stamps, including both philately stamps and postage stamps released by Vietnam Post, meanwhile Thailand Post only applies the technology in an amount of philately ones.
It is known that only 10 countries in the world apply the recognition technology on postage stamps. And Vietnam is the 3rd country in Asia.
