The exhibition is organized by the Centre for Press and International Communications Cooperation (Ministry of Information and Communications) in collaboration with Thua Thien-Hue Information and Communications Department from July, 26 to 30, 2016.
The exhibition introduces more than 300 photographs and about 60 reportage and documentary films that were awarded and selected to the final round of several prestigious festivals held by Ministry of Information and Communications from 2010 to 2015.
The works reflect the rich variety of topics such as: the beauty of the countries, peoples in ASEAN countries, cultural traditions ASEAN countries, environment protection and climate change, the Ethnic Community in the ASEAN countries with good quality, informative content and variety styles. Some authors have much creativity to bring to viewers the works of high quality of arts. In particular, appearing in the most visible place in the exhibition is the common official stamp and seal of the ASEAN countries.
The exhibition helps the public know more about the culture, peoples, environment of the countries in the ASEAN region. Thereby, the event is also an opportunity for the ASEAN peoples to be closer in assuring ASEAN solidarity and unification.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Minister Truong Minh Tuan stressed, the exhibition was a call to the Vietnamese people to join hands to build the ASEAN community, a community of peace, stability, development and towards the people; as well as raised awareness of the public about the formation of the ASEAN Community. This is the result of 49 years of collaborative efforts of all member countries, records a milestone of ASEAN integration, in which Vietnam is considered as an important factor in ensuring the unification of ASEAN.
