The Hanoi People's Committee agreed to build a software and digital content park in Dong Anh District in northern Ha Noi.
The VND24 trillion (US$1.075 billion) project will cover an area of 80ha in the two communes of Nguyen Kha and Tien Duong. It's expected to meet international standards and create opportunities for co-operation and investment, and increase information technology development.
The project is expected to generate 40,000 jobs.
Earlier Ha Noi inaugurated a VND10.5-trillion information technology hub in Long Bien District.
The 43ha project, funded by Hanel Ltd. Company, will be finished in 2019.
