On October, 20th, 2015, at Cha Lo International Border Gate, Ministry of Information and Communication in collaboration with the People"s Committee of Quang Binh Province held the inauguration of Cha Lo Foreign Information Complex.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan said, Cha Lo Border Gate was the international trade point with Laos and other countries in the East - West economic corridor. This gate welcomed a lot of tourists and businesses, so the demand on information about the country and people as well as trade and investment policies is necessary.
The goal of the complex is to raise awareness of the border people about policies and guidelines of the Party and State, the foreign policy of Vietnam with neighboring countries, international and regional friends. The complex will also introduce the traditional cultural values of the country and people of Vietnam to the remoted people, while raising their awareness and responsibility in protecting the sovereign borders and national territory.
