Administrative agencies, businesses together accelerate IT applications

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam shared this thought in the meeting with representatives of IT associations, businesses on March, 12th, 2015.

Deputy Prime Minister said that the directives and documents of the Party and the State related to IT development was relatively perfected, but it was needed to choose specific things and areas to implement for each period.

Taking the example of the pilot mechanism in outsourcing IT services in state agencies, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam said, this was the motivation for Vietnam’s IT firms. So the leaders of ministries, heads of State agencies had to determine to overcome fears about the impacts relating to the work and interests when outsourcing IT services. And the leading IT companies needed to actively participate in designing, setting overall solutions to overcome fragments in the application of IT in State’s agencies, creating the foundation for the participation of all other smaller IT companies.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Minh Hong said, the IT industry in 2015 would implement important policies such as the Resolution No. 36 of the Politburo relating to developing IT applications to meet requirements of the sustainable development and international integration, as well as  guidances of the National Committee for IT applications, the pilot outsourcing IT services in state agencies;  complete and summit to the Parliament the IT Law, etc. The Ministry of Information and Communications desired IT associations and companies would continue to have specific, practical supports and contributions in the construction, improvement and implementation of policies and mechanisms for IT development, strengthen coordinations between the associations, companies in the industry.
