The signing is a concrete step to put into reality the Việt Nam-UK Strategic Partnership Declaration established in September.

The MOU represents both sides’ wish to strengthen their bilateral cooperation in the area of information and communications, especially exchanging information and experience of drafting laws and policies in the area; and encouraging cooperation among enterprises in upgrading infrastructure and providing services.

The two countries will also strengthen cooperation on human resources development and training programs; encourage joint research and development of new services and technologies.

The MOU specifies cooperation activities in the media sector.
