Attending the conference were representatives from Ministries, Units, Agencies, Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) directly under the authority of Central Goverment, 63 Departments of Information and Communications.
Decision No.420/QD-TTg was signed by Prime Minister on 31st , March 2010 on implementation of statistical survey on universalisation of telephone, Internet and audiovisual services in 2010. On April 7th , 2010, Decision No.470/QD-BTTTT was issued by MIC on methods of statistical survey on universalisation of telephone, Internet and audiovisual services in 2010.
The survey aims at collecting information, data on universalisation of telephone, Internet, radio and television services. Targeted object of the survey includes specialized agencies under People’s Committee in commues, districts and provinces; Party Committee’s Office, People’s Councils’ offices, households, facility-based telecommunications carriers, public outlets providing on telephone and Internet services; signal transceiver stations managed by VTV and local televisions stations.
The implementation of the survey is essential and meaningful, aiming at: collectting information and data for state authority of telephone, Internet and audiovisuality at central and local level; setting up programs and projects on infrastructure development, providing public services in the field of information and communications to narrow development gap among regions, setting up detailed targets and solutions in order to bring Vietnam a strong country in ICT in coming years.
The survey will start from 00 o’clock on June 1st, 2010 and end on 30th, June 2010.
