The Authority of Foreign Information Service is a ministerial unit which performs the advisory and regulatory functions over the foreign information services; gives directions, guidances and implementation of the foreign information works; acts as a focal point for coordinating and organizing the implementation of foreign information works of governmental and local authorities in nationwide.
The Authority of Foreign Information Service shall have its legal status, owned seal and account in accordance with the provision of law, its headquarter locates in Hanoi.
The Authority of Foreign Information Service has its tasks and powers according to Decision 463/QD-BTTTT dated 17 April 2014 of the Minister of Information and Communications prescribing the functions, duties, powers and organizational structure of the Authority of Foreign Information Service.
