At the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thanh Hung emphasized: In recent years, the Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam and the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications of Cambodia have continuously promoted cooperation activities in the field of post and telecommunications.
Cambodia has created conditions for Vietnam's post, telecommunications and IT enterprises to do business and succeed in Cambodia. In the postal sector, the two sides have implemented specific cooperation such as exchanging delegations, sharing experiences between Cambodia Post and Vietnam Post on the basis of a signed cooperation agreement in October 2017.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Thanh Hung generalized the postal situation in Vietnam. In recent years, the postal sector has continued to renovate operations, develop new services, business methods, clearly distinguish between business and public tasks, in line with innovation trend as well as international integration.
Besides, the mechanisms and policies have created favorable conditions for the healthy development of the postal market. The postal market continues to be expanded with the participation of many enterprises of all economic sectors. At the same time, the policy on providing universal postal services has created conditions for people, especially those living in rural, remote, mountainous, border and island areas to access to postal services.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Thanh Hung believed that the visit would continue to tighten and strengthen cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia in the field of post in particular and the field of information and communication in general.
The two Ministries will continue to strengthen the exchange of delegations, sharing experiences in state management and development of the postal market as well as the provision of postal services; prioritize cooperation in human resource development and training programs; continue to support and create favorable conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to cooperate in investment in Cambodia as well as business activities of Cambodian enterprises in Vietnam. In particular, the two countries will continue to cooperate closely and support each other in international organizations specialized in post and telecommunications and information technology such as ITU, UPU,…regional cooperation such as ASEAN, APT, APPU ...
At the meeting, Mrs. HE Prak Channoy highly appreciated the close and effective cooperation between the two ministries and wished to continue receiving help and sharing experience of Vietnam in building the legal framework in the postal sector as well as open new cooperation, investment and business with Vietnamese postal enterprises in the coming time.
